My First Ever Post!

I guess I should explain the reason why I've decided to write a blog. There are a few, so see the list below:
1.) Boredom
2.) Desire to be a tad more creative
3.) Feeling a tad guilty about not keeping up with my close friends blogs....

Off of the back of this, I should probably say that I'm very sorry that I havent been keeping up with your blogs :( I've been tres busy at work, and when you sit in front of a computer all day long, the last thing you want to do is do it when you get home too. So, the theory is, if I have a blog, I'll be able to get updates on what you guys are doing... Provided someone tells me how to use this properly!

Here goes....

So, after our outing last weekend, I got rather sad. Miss Matthews was off to Wales the day after, and although I know you'll be back every now and again, it makes me realise how much time has gone past since school, and how none of us are just down the road from each other anymore.... Saying that, Lucy, you are just a 2 minute walk from me :P
It feels like only last year we were in our school uniform hanging around outside the music block (Kerrys perm pops into my head for some reason?). But now, we're all grown up, and moving away or moving on with our lives, and it feels a little sad :( I knew it would happen one day, but that day just sort of.... happened... without me even realising! It makes you realise how important friends are, and how important it is to make the most of your time with them when you do see them :)

In other news, I just thought I'd mention that Patrick starts his first ever job on Monday! In Iceland....
Strange to think that I have a stepson who has a job :|

Speaking of work, my annoyance of this week at work has been that my keyboard appears to be giving up! Everyday, I lose the use of another letter! So now when I'm writing emails and things, I cant use "r", "t," "1", "2", "h" and "s".... Thats the order they died in :( Is there anything I can do to remedy this??

Back to the personal life of moi, its only 10 weeks now until I meet my son, and until you all become AUNTIES!! :D Myself and Anton recently started attending antenatal classes, and I think this whole birth thing has hit me like a brick to the head.... I guess it cant hurt that much, my Mum did it 5 times, so why do it if it hurts that much? Not saying I have plans to do it 5 times :|
I'm also getting scared about the actual responsibility... Being a Mum is a huge thing, and how do you deal with the everyday things that happen to children? Like if he gets picked on at school, or if he gets into a fight, what do you do about it?? I know you shouldn't physically threaten 5 year olds, but does that mean you CANT do it? I guess I have a lot of time to consider it though...

So, thats the end of my first ever blog! I hope I did it right.....
